What is public open space adoption & management?

Streets, car parking, play areas and green space form a crucial part of every residential development. That open space needs to be cultivated, managed and maintained on an ongoing basis.

Giles Landscapes POS take over the responsibility for management of this open space from developers by adopting it into ownership. Providing a specialist service that focuses on the needs of local people and the environment.

At Giles Landscapes POS, we help to create those open spaces, organise planned maintenance visits, undertake the management of repairs to shared facilities and much more.

RESIDENTS

Creating a welcoming place

At Giles Landscapes POS, we recognise that the environment plays an important role in resident health and wellbeing. That is why we work closely with landscaping teams to create and maintain green spaces that don’t just meet your needs, but are also enjoyable to visit and spend time in.

Our soft landscaping services include amenity planting, the reinstatement of native species and trees, specimen tree planing, shelter belts, buffer zones, grass seeding, wildflower meadows, and water meadow cultivation.

From tree-planting and grass-cutting to taking care of play areas, we’ll work hard to look after your neighbourhood, and collaborate with you to keep you informed and engaged.

RESIDENTS

Communication is key

As residents, we actively encourage you to engage with us about the open spaces we manage and maintain.

We provide every resident with access to our online residents’ portal so we can be advised of issues promptly. Via the portal, we can regularly liaise with you, answer your questions, gather feedback, and share maintenance schedules.

You can also use the portal to access relevant documentation, advertise services, book shared spaces and much more.

ENVIRONMENT

Protecting the environment and encouraging wildlife

At Giles Landscapes, we provide landscaping and maintenance services that are sensitive to the local area and its specific environmental requirements. This includes working with specialists to cultivate and protect natural habitats in order to encourage wildlife.
